The Perfect Loaf, by Maurizio Leo
The Perfect Loaf website and blog, curated by Maurizio Leo, is a wealth of sourdough knowledge. It includes dozens of recipes and very good instructional content. Maurizio also actively participates in comments and blogs. The recipes are all presented in the same format and it is very educational to read and compare recipes to understand similarities and differences. I also recommend reading the comments before trying a specific recipe to learn from other bakers’ experiences. Maurizio often contributes updates to recipes via the comments.
Recommendation: Highly Recommended
Foodbod Sourdough, by Elaine Boddy
Elaine Boddy website, Foodbod Sourdough, is an excellent resource for sourdough bakers. Elaine’s “master recipe” is an easy, overnight method that many beginners have found to be a great place to start their sourdough journey. Elaine’s new book, The Sourdough Whisperer, is also very popular
The Fresh Loaf, hosted by Danny Ayo
The Fresh Loaf is an online community for amateur artisan bakers and bread enthusiasts. This active community hosts “group bakes” based on popular recipes. The historical blogs and community threads contain a wealth of information and tend to lean toward more scientific discussions of various bread topics. The navigation takes some time to acclimate to but it is an excellent resource for sourdough bakers.

BreadClub20- Facebook Group
This Facebook group is run by Jon Rosser (Wales, UK). It features both yeasted and sourdough breads and bread-bakers. I actively participate in this group. Jon also has a website and tools to support the members of the group. Jon is active in the group every day. He keeps it pragmatic and real.

The Sourdough Journey
This is my channel. The Sourdough Journey specializes in Chad Robertson’s Tartine Method with a focus on the science of sourdough, especially related to bulk fermentation. My videos demonstrate full bakes from start to finish. My one-of-a-kind experiments include all the details to make them scientifically repeatable so you can create the same results at home.
Full Proof Baking
Kristen’s incredibly popular video, How to Make a Basic Open Crumb Sourdough Bread, is one of the most popular sourdough videos on YouTube. Kristen’s dough handling technique is exceptional and her method of combining lamination and coil folding has become a standard among many sourdough bakers.

The Proof Bread channel provides a fascinating look behind the scenes of a working sourdough bakery. The popular video, Artisan Sourdough Process from Start to Finish, is highly recommended.

This popular YouTube channel has a number of videos focused on creation of open crumb sourdough loaves. Some of the videos skip over some essential details, but the videos are relatively short and generally instructive.
